This is definitely not a place you want to work. Theres no diversity... literally. All one race of people that will ostracize you and put you to work in the back somewhere if your not thier kind. It sucked. I was hoping for more transparency and diversity when hired.

We participated in Summer Program of 2022, after struggling for a long time with our child's behavior challenges. CMI has finally shed some light and hope to our path! This 4-week program has definitely made our son's attitude and outlook positive, boosted up his self-image, and gave tools to both sides to communicate more effectively. The parent training was absolutely valuable, too.

Sometimes it was challenging to navigate through the screening and evaluation processes but that is probably due to the extensibility of treatments and help that they offer.

They have a well proven method, structure and great professionals that have helped my family immensely. Our deep concern about our child's mental condition led us to many different doctors, hospitals and centers. We are relieved this search brought us to Child Mind, where we found Dr. Jerry Bubrick and his team to be compassionate, thorough and knowledgeable. This is not a place where patients are shuffled through. There is an incredible level of thoughtfulness which I've found lacking in the medical field. Nothing was assumed, information was gathered and other specialists brought in. Dr. Jerry met with us often to discuss, ask questions and share information. We felt confident in his and Alnardo's process, observations and findings. For any parents like us who struggled for months trying to help their child, I would highly recommend Child Mind and their commitment to excellence. They are a wonderful, different kind of place that is not driven by ego but exists to really help make children's lives better. Just for the record I have no affiliation with this place, I have never worked here and had never heard of it before our personal crisis. I'm just simply grateful.

Why are health facilities making twisted logic not to accept insurance. I see child-mind institute claims itself a non-profit but wont serve average working class americans. It is okay to say, hey we only serve the rich...and if you cannot afford us...too bad. And, of course we also do token charity to poor people. The fact you have to come up with a rationale to explain why you don't accept insurance just means you know that it is wrong. You are abusing the non-profit status to just enrich yourself.

CMI doesn’t have any intention in helping your child, and especially NOT YOUR WALLET! Some say there is a price to pay for well established and highly trained medical care. Child Mind definitely makes you pay a high price, but then carelessly forgets to make an attempt at treating you (their patients). Even if you have the money, you’d be better off literally flushing it down the toilet or feeding it to the ducks in Central Park, not too far away.

We credit Child Mind for changing our lives and helping us find the support and make the changes necessary to support our son and daughters learning challenges. If not for Dr. Phillips and the Child Mind Institute team we would still be floundering with at least one severely depressed child and not having our child's emotional or academic needs addressed. They even armed us with knowledge to better advocate for ourselves and our children. We are eternally greatful.

I was desperate for help for my son and so relieved when I found the website. Someone called and put me on the calendar for an evaluation time..and they never called. I'm guessing it was because I started asking about their financial aid fund. So they don't want to be bothered with families who can't afford to pay out their exorbitant fees.
